Tony has performed numerous project reviews and also conducted stakeholder engagement training for my teams. Tony has deep understanding and experience in what makes for successful project delivery. He wastes no time in getting to the point and exposing where projects may be struggling. This often can be in areas of stakeholder engagement and executive sponsorship. Insightful Project Leadership.
Tony has made one of the most meaningful contributions to my professional growth. He was brought in to give a group of project managers some insights of the “softer skills” needed to setup a project for success, with the course’s focus to deviate from your typical technical aspects of the profession and more into the day to day human side to managing people. One of the key things I took away with me, was the kick-off agenda and its purpose. This simple, yet effective agenda is often the most forgotten tool by project managers to clarify the vision to the team, quickly gain control of the project and create alignment.
The second most important contribution was defining our relationships and agreements. The roles and responsibilities are most often assumed, which leaves room for gotcha’s, finger pointing and hinders relationships in the long run. As Tony mentioned:
